The Push Press

This week: update on how July Snatch Challenge went, and looking ahead to Pentathlon Event in October.

But first: here’s Valery Federenko on the push press, the fifth exercise of the Pentathlon. I have had it pointed out to me today (thanks Alastair Grimmer) that we need to sink back down with the bell, dropping the same side shoulder, and press from that dropped-down position. Watch Federenko making it look so effortless – it uses way less energy than a push press from an erect position.
